Purpose of Job

The purpose of this classification is to assist the Division Director in implementing projects, programs, and services of the Department of Grants & Community Development.
Essential Functions

• Compile and maintain records to ensure grant compliance and timeliness.
• Maintain budget documents, reconcile program invoices, and prepare reporting for local, state and federal agencies.
• Assist in the data collection, preparation, and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to state and federal funding agencies.
• Draft and review documents in support of programs and projects managed by division.
• Provide administrative support to division director and program managers.

Additional Job Functions

• Respond to and report immediately if called upon by local, regional or central office supervisors, as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor’s Office.
• Ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Training & Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One-year related experience.
