Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Designer prepares design layouts, schematics, or sketches of electro-mechanical systems to satisfy system and integration requirements within cost and producibility constraints (including test plans, procedures, or specifications). This position will also review layouts, drawings, test reports, procedures, and engineering change notices for clarity and completeness. Testing and validation are essential duties for electromechanical engineers. They design products, conduct tests, and analyze data to evaluate system performance and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to operate machines, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach above shoulders. The incumbent will regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or touch and move from place to place. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift up to 10 pounds.

The employee works in an office facility environment and may be exposed to hot temperatures in the summer months and cold temperatures during the winter months. Safety shoes and eye protection are required at all times when in work areas on the production floor, as well as any other PPE identified by the company.

Entry level pay: <4 years
Median level pay: 4 - 6 years
Top level pay: 6 years
