The Pregnancy Resource Center is Hiring a Client Advocate Near Kerrville, TX

Client Advocate Job Description

The Client Advocate is responsible for meeting with The Pregnancy Resource Center (TPRC) clients, one-on-one or in group sessions, to facilitate parenting classes in order for clients to develop healthy parenting skills. This is an hourly, non-exempt position; therefore, pay is derived from actual hours worked.

Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday 9 am to 5 pm, and working the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9 am to 5 pm on a rotational basis. Hours vary when working on the mobile medical unit between 8:00 am to 6:30 pm on a rotational basis. Note: Hours are subject to change based on business need.

Reports to: DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complies with the policies and procedures of Kerr County Christian Action Council (KCCAC).

2. Meets directly with clients in one-on-one and group class sessions teaching approved parenting curriculum.

3. Performs various tasks on the mobile medical unit on scheduled days. Duties include greeting clients, checking in clients, updating client charts, etc.

4. Assists the mobile medical unit Registered Nurse (RN) to drive the mobile medical unit to surrounding counties of Kerr County to provide needed services (e.g. pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, STI testing/treatment, etc.) to clients.

5. Maintains cleanliness of mobile medical unit.

6. Refers clients to various resources throughout the community as needed.

7. Attends regular training sessions as needed for curriculum, adoption, and other topics.

8. Ensures all client files are being filed and maintained appropriately within applicable technology systems.

9. Furthers the religious mission of the ministry of KCCAC through prayer or other duties.

10. Participates in corporate prayer as part of KCCAC’s ministry.

11. Assists with and attends fundraising events as needed.

12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or DCS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a mature Christian as evidenced by personal growth and life choices by being committed and an active member of a local Bible believing church:

a) Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

b) Practices an active prayer life, interceding with God and trusting Him for whatever fruit our ministry produces.

c) Demonstrates a knowledge of, and an ability to, share the gospel with others comfortably.

d) In full agreement with KCCAC statements of Faith, Principle, Code of Christian Conduct, and Commitment of Care.

2. An Unshakable Pro-Life Conviction, without apology, compromise, or exception, that abortion is the unspeakable and sinful taking of an innocent human life and the willingness to stand up for that belief and for the Mission Statement of KCCAC.

3. Conveys a loving, non-judgmental attitude at all times.

4. Contributes to the ministry by working as a team member.

5. Self-directed and experienced in carrying out responsibilities with minimal supervision.

6. Easily able to multitask, with high organizational skills.

7. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.

8. Actively views their position as more than a job.

9. History of and maintaining of a clean driving record.

10. Ability to step into and out of the mobile medical unit many times per day.

11. Ability to withstand extreme outside weather conditions (changing temperatures between hot and cold).

12. High School Diploma or related experience equivalent.

13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
