Summary / objective of position:
Support Wealth Advisory Services Trust Officer(s) with the daily administration of a portfolio of fiduciary accounts, and partner with PM Groups to independently administer same. Actively manage the administration of accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain an optimum level of client service.
Essential functions of position:
  • Provide high touch interaction to clients, prospective clients, professional advisors, and PM Groups with Trust Officer guidance
  • Obtain and compile information from internal/external sources to assist the Trust Officer in the delivery of quality client service.
  • Effectively assist Trust Officer with providing professional service through timely satisfaction of client needs, including PM Groups, and the fulfillment of JTC’s fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Assist Trust Officer in facilitating effective teamwork with Portfolio Managers and their support staff to deliver high quality client service.
  • Facilitate Trust Officer and Trust Counsel analysis and interpretation of standard legal instruments to determine duties and responsibilities of JTC.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve issues arising in the course of account administration and recommend solutions to Trust Officer as appropriate.
  • Assist Trust Officer in review of new trust accounts for acceptance and identification of trust administration issues and tasks.
  • Establish and maintain trust accounts on proprietary system and with custodian.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Assist Trust Officer in completing annual trust account reviews on timely basis; manage resolution of identified issues.
  • Assist Trust Officer in organizing and preparing for Board of Directors/Committee meetings, as needed.
  • Assist Trust Officer with internal/external auditors in completion of trust administration audits, as needed.
  • Assist with a variety of trust related projects.
Preferred education and experience:
  • A minimum of five years personal trust administration experience and/or four-year undergraduate degree.
  • 2 years’ experience in reading and interpreting trust/estate documents, preferred.
  • CTFA or other professional designation preferred, or willingness to obtain
  • Highly relational and easy to do business with
  • Displays adaptability and versatility in work and social style
  • Working knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of document provision, trust and estate law, taxes, investments and the legal framework of trust administration, preferred.
  • Independent/Self Starter with the ability to prioritize a large workload
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently as needed
  • Organized, detail-oriented with excellent problem solving and follow up skills
  • Computer-proficient in Excel and Word
  • Works effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills

Work environment: Temperature controlled, office environment
Physical demands: Must be able to stand or sit at computer for 8 hours per day. May require extensive typing at times.
