Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any field or Child Development Associate’s Degree. Must pass background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children and/or management preferred.
Availability: MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY! Consistent shift between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. starting end of May through August 9th. Training can begin any time in Spring 2024. School year employment also available in our ‘24-‘25 Before and After School program, but is not required.
Job Responsibilities: Managing up to 4 staff and supervising up to 45 children entering 1st through 6th grade in camp locations at the City of Kent’s Rec Center or Davey Elementary. Following and maintaining ODJFS state childcare licensing regulations, supervising children and staff on field trips, interacting with parents and school faculty, attending staff meetings and child development trainings, adapting to behavioral and educational needs of children, handling conflict management within children, completing lesson plans, etc. Professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task is a must!
