The Pacific Clinic is Hiring a Small Group Training Coach Near Kennewick, WA

The primary role of Fitness Instructors at Pacific Clinic is the commitment to improve the quality of people’s lives through activity. The Fitness team, made up of trained instructors, has the ability to motivate, encourage and positively influence an individual’s health and wellness decisions. Provide engaging exercise experiences that include all ages and fitness levels, result in fun, excitement, and challenges that motivate and encourage attendees to keep coming back.

Essential Functions:

  • Arrive 10 minutes early, assure music, mic and equipment ready.
  • Approach new attendees, provide special instructions for equipment/ set up needed.
  • Begin class on time
  • Attire and nametag to be worn in accordance with handbook
  • Introduce self and name the Class/Session.
  • Announcements upcoming events/news of The PC.
  • Provide a brief summary of the Class/Session format, share what to expect and preview of new and/or complex movement pattern (if applicable).
  • End class/session on time with enthusiasm and appreciation to participants for efforts. Extend an invitation to return, try other classes and bring guests.
  • Remain until the end and is available for questions, assistance and feedback.
  • Record attendance.
  • Turn off equipment, lock up cabinets and doors.
  • Professional, positive and polished presentation from beginning to end.
  • Training focus for each track is introduced, programming cues and general correctional cues are given with clarity at appropriate time.
  • Connection with participants is informative, energetic, encouraging and fun.
  • Music and mic volume within specified range.
  • Engagement and inclusion of all participants through recognition, eye contact and body language.
  • Programming (timing and execution) is delivered following the release format confidently.
  • Correct form is demonstrated, options/modifications for movements are shown throughout

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of training (as applicable); certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Employee with assigned class/session: Ability to fulfill weekly scheduling requirements teaching 80-90% of regularly scheduled classes throughout the year.
  • Ability to attend a minimum of three (3) scheduled rehearsals per year, and attend a minimum of one (1) of the scheduled launches per year. Must attend rehearsal to teach the designated launch.
  • Must have the ability to sub for other members on the team as needed.
  • Subs: Ability to fulfill the sub availability requirement (12 times per year to maintain the employee membership at the Junior rate).
