Field Service Technician
Whiting Systems, Inc. is the industry leader in manufacturing and maintaining automatic large vehicle wash systems. We specialize in truck washes, train washes, water reclaim systems, demudders, chassis washes, and pressure washers plus we manufacture and distribute our own line of chemicals (soap). We are an international company with washing systems spanning the globe. Our maintenance/service department is second to none. Our current opening is based out of the Kennewick, WA area.

General Job Description:

• Troubleshoot, Repair, and Maintain automatic and manual Wash Equipment. .
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Deliver and dilute wash soap from concentrate.
• Establish a relationship with customers at equipment locations.
• Identify necessary parts for repairs and maintain inventory stock.
• Complete job orders documenting your work in detail.
• Travel to work sites in your company vehicle.
• Keep yourself and your company vehicle safe.
• Have an insurable driving record
• Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Excellent communication skill

Work Experience that will make you successful:

• Be familiar with pump operations, troubleshooting and rebuilding.
• Burner skills both for natural gas and propane.
• Electrical knowledge with 3 phase and single phase.
• Understand some relay logic and be able to trace input/output failures within panels and machines.

Physical Requirements:

Our techs climb ladders and use man lifts; they lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. regularly. They work in all temperatures, often in damp conditions. There is repetitive motion using tools and when they are not working hard, they are driving a truck to the next location. This is not an inclusive list of physical requirements but does give a general idea of the work requirements.

Past applicants with HVAC, car wash repair, industrial maintenance and/or commercial appliance maintenance have all made an easy transition to the our equipment repair field. Attach your resume if you think your experience might translate to our business.

Ideal applicant will have excellent record keeping skills and is dependable. Must work well independently and communicate well with a remote team. Accurate and professional verbal and written communication skills. Must be punctual, reliable and represent themselves professionally. Must have an insurable driving record.

We provide our Chemical Service Representatives with clean, late model service trucks, a gas card, per diems for nights spent on the road (in a hotel) and we make sure our techs are home on the weekends. Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
