• Locate and retrieve records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
• Update client charts with information promptly.
• Audit charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
• Track the location of charts using appropriate software.
• Respond to information requests either in person or by telephone promptly.

Medical Records Technician II ’s Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One (1) year of experience as a medical records technician or a similar role is required.
• Strong organizational and office technology skills are required.
• Intermediate proficiency in medical terminology is highly preferred.
• The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
