REPORTS TO
The Assistant Controller reports to the VP, Controller in the Finance & Accounting department.
What will you be responsible for as part of this role?
Lead team to achieve departmental goals by providing direction, coaching, and timely performance feedback; support team training, career development planning, and provide work assignments with growing levels of responsibility.
Manage the financial close process, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including related footnotes and required disclosures for quarterly debt compliance and annual audit reporting requirements.
Perform analysis of financial statements, detailed financial schedules, key performance indicators, and budget vs. actual.
Lead and manage the external audit process.
Develop, monitor, and document internal controls.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and reconciliation of consolidated financial statements and detailed financial schedules
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and KPI packages that are presented to and reviewed by the executive team and board of directors on a monthly basis.
Own and incorporate financial information into a monthly debt compliance package to support the company’s debt facility.
Conduct accounting for equity awards and transactions, including 3rd party valuations.
Maintain process to capitalize internal software development costs and preparation of technical accounting analysis to support conclusion, including approval by external auditors.
Further the design and management of internal control frameworks, including system controls within the company's ERP.
Maintain ownership over all technical accounting analysis to ensure compliance with GAAP, including documentation and review by external auditors
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Who are you?
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Advanced understanding and application of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
Strong accounting and financial analysis expertise and fluency in analyzing data
Ability to define problems and make recommendations which support the strategic direction of the organization
Ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Proven ability to develop and motivate staff
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work collaboratively and independently
Solid verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Minimum of five years in an Accounting and/or Finance Department with at least two years prior experience serving in a team lead and/or management role

CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience
System implementation experience
Salary Range:
$130,000-$150,000
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
