Job Description
  • The Enterprise GIS Engineer's role is to configure, administer, and maintain Enterprise GIS solutions and system integrations. The Enterprise GIS Engineer will part of a team that provides guidance, design concepts, and implementation plans to meet client (both internal and external) requirements for maintainability, redundancy, scalability, and security of hosted systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience configuring and administering Esri Enterprise solutions (both enterprise and desktop). Further details provided in Technology Requirements.
Position RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Geography with concentration on Geographic Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering.
Current DoD Secret Clearance (ability to obtain will be considered).
Minimum 5 years' experience configuring and administering Esri Enterprise solutions (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, Enterprise Geodatabases).
Minimum 5 years' experience utilizing Esri Desktop solutions (ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcPro).
Experience using Arcpy and other Python tools to perform routine and project-specific tasks against enterprise GIS data.
Experience administering and upgrading Portal for ArcGIS High Availability to include Federation, Hosting Server, GeoEvent Server, and ArcGIS Data Store.
Experience creating and administering Map, Feature, and Hosted Feature Services.
Previous experience as a Middleware Engineer implementing systems on Windows OS, IIS web configuration, and SQL Server/PostGrSQL database platforms that leverage the DoD CAC SSL authentication security model.
Familiarity with the SDSFIE data model.
Task automation experience with examples and metrics.
Familiarity with the SDSFIE data model.
Familiarity with supporting applications/users that utilize a Citrix Environment.
Apply security protocols as defined by government specifications and cyber security.
Effectively communicate in meetings and through technical documentation to support the SDLC process.
Ability to work nights/weekends as needed to support system maintenance and upgrades during scheduled maintenance.
Provide Tier 3 support for application help desk.
Technology Requirements3 years of hands on experience with ETL tools (Python, Model Builder, or FME).
3 years of hands on experience with programming languages like Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
3 years of hands on experience with RESTful web services (ArcGIS REST API).
