Central to our focus is understanding the molecular underpinnings of regulated cell death (RCD) in bacteria — a bacterial behavior that echoes programmed cell death in multicellular organisms. By unraveling this evolutionarily ancient behavior, we aim to reveal pivotal new biology in bacteria, pioneer innovative therapeutics to curb bacterial infections and find clues to better understand cell death in humans. Your tasks will be molded according to your research interests and experience, and early on will include training in cutting-edge imaging, bacterial genetics and molecular biology approaches and techniques, followed by performing experiments in collaboration with a PI/senior scientist. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with lab maintenance, performing safety checks, chemical inventory management, waste handling, and data organization.What we offer:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in related fields like Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Chemical Biology etc. (Interdisciplinary degrees are welcome).
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology, microbiology, scripting languages (R, Python etc.), and/or analyses of large-scale datasets is appreciated but not mandatory.
