Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use
- Take dental x-rays and 3D imaging as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a clear field of vision
- Perform dental assisting duties such as taking impressions, fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Manage dental supplies inventory and order new supplies as needed
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting patients
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar practice management software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
We offer competitive pay based on experience.
