We are seeking a

Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home.

Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to : assistance with personal hygiene, activities / outings, social engagement, and shopping.

Paid trainings, including CPR / First Aid

DSP’s assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by :

• Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
• Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
• Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals

Eligible candidates must have a high school degree / GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record.

The hours for this position are :

6 hours / week

Schedule TBD based on activities but would occur on weekday / weekend day and or evening hours. No overnights.

Support needed for an active, young woman in the Abingdon area. Staff should be outgoing and able to assist with getting out and doing things, staying in touch with friends, and explore hobbies.

Transportation to activities in your personal vehicle is required for this position.

This position requires the use of a cell phone for mobile punching and documentation.

Candidates must be fully vaccinated or undergo weekly testing for COVID- to ensure compliance with

enhanced health and safety protocols and to keep yourself and others safe and free from illness.
