The Kidsney Zone Early Learning Academy is Hiring an Infant Teacher (Age 6 weeks-17 months) Near Jonesboro, AR

Seeking qualified Infant Teachers to care for small children. We want hard working and dedicated people to join our team. An infant teacher must have a great love and patience for all children. Qualifications needed to observe and teach them effectively include knowledge of child development, Arkansas Early Learning Standards (ELS) and Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-3) as well as the ability to interact, engage them to earn their trust and attention.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and support the development learning goals for each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
  • Organize nap and feeding times and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
  • Track children’s progress and report to parents any potential warning signs of physical developmental delays.
  • Communicate with parents regularly each day to understand the children’s background and understand where they are developmentally.
  • Collaborate with other Lead Teachers and educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Infant Teacher in a childcare setting (Required)
  • Access to or provide copies of certifications in Professional Development File
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and early learning standards
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
  • Certification in child First Aid/CPR AED (Preferred)
  • Cleared criminal and child maltreatment background checks (Required)

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
