James Chevrolet is Hiring a Parts manager Near Johnstown, NY

Job Summary:
James Chevrolet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Manager to join our team in Johnstown, New York. This is a full-time, management position in the fast-paced and dynamic automotive industry. The Parts Manager will oversee all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, customer service, and sales. This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, as well as a range of benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary of $40,000 to $60,000, paid biweekly
- Commission based on sales performance
- Comprehensive health insurance package

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, sales, and customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and profitability
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and proactively seek opportunities for repeat business
- Oversee the hiring, training, and management of parts department staff
- Review and negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Monitor and report on departmental financial performance to upper management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Continuously seek ways to optimize processes and enhance the overall customer experience within the parts department
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a parts management role, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and profit and loss statements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
