State of Missouri is Hiring a Planning Coordinator Near Jefferson City, MO

Salary: $2,400 - $ 3,000 semi-monthly

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Director’s Office and is located at 1101 Riverside Dr. Jefferson City, MO.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Environmental Quality is seeking a Planning Coordinator to join the Division team in Jefferson City. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to collaborate with teams and leaders across the Division to facilitate and implement efficient work products and operational excellence. The Division of Environmental Quality Planning Coordinator works closely with Division management to continually improve the delivery of services and operations of the Division.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide project management assistance to the Division’s programs and regional offices;
  • Coordinate initiatives among the Division’s programs and regional offices, other divisions within the Department, and other state and federal agencies;
  • Provide follow-up support for projects identified by Division management;
  • Support, coordinate, and track efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the Division, particularly incorporating technology solutions; and
  • Work with Department team members to track issues that have the potential to impact the Department.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project planning skills;
  • A passion for using technology to enhance organizational excellence;
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
  • Familiarity, or ability to learn and use, project management tools;
  • Skilled at handling fast-paced environments, last-minute deadlines, and changing priorities;
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills; and
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
