Position Title : Material Handler
Wage : $16 / hour
Shift : 1st
Hours : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 4am-12 : 30pm, Sat 6am-2 : 30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a company in Janesville, WI. The Material Handler typically reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Lead.
This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Manually or using hand truck, perform various material handling duties in the facility
- Manually load finished product on pallet or hand truck
- Stack skids or pallets in designated areas
- Provide cleaning services, as necessary, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and removal of trash in proper containers or designated areas
- Perform other related tasks to keep the work area safe, clean, and organized
Material Handler Requirements :
- Stand / walk for up to 10-12 hours
- Lift and / or pull 50lbs without restriction
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Walking in the distribution center and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
- Work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the customer
- Attention to detail
