Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating large vertical turning lathes, horizontal boring mills, and old-school drill presses. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate large vertical turning lathes, horizontal boring mills, and drill presses.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Perform precision machining operations to tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist, preferably in a machine shop environment.
• Proficiency in operating large vertical turning lathes, horizontal boring mills, and drill presses.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of machining materials and tooling.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
