This position performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on the Cayuga Health System medical equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include the verification and adjustment to established performance specifications for electronic patient care equipment. Assists other trades as needed with electronic control problems. Independent judgment and time management is required for handling details of each job.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and services Cayuga Health Services clinical equipment including the digital TV systems and hospital tube systems
  • Investigates, guides and instructs other on the use and operation of clinical equipment
  • Maintains current knowledge levels on designated Cayuga Health system clinical equipment
  • Uses the hospital information system to enter and retrieve maintenance data
  • Completes monthly equipment reporting on preventive maintenance requirements
  • Participates in the Joint Commissions accreditation process when reviewing Medical Equipment
  • Availability for on call duty when / as required
  • Carries out duties in a safe professional manner, with focus on customer service as a high priority.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Electronics
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2 years of experience supporting and servicing medical equipment in a hospital environment

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Requirements also include climbing, bending, and the ability to get into tight spaces while working off a ladder.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite
  • Daily Travel between local facilities can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure:

  • $27.00 to $38.00 per hour
