Cayuga Health System began by joining two longstanding, independent hospitals into a cohesive health-care network providing seamless, comprehensive, community centered care for the residents of central New York. This position performs installation, repair, building automation, and preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include HVAC systems, self-contained air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and systems. Assists other trades when needed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain, Repair, and Install HVAC /R Systems & Controls.
• Troubleshooting building automation systems both digital and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work with blueprints and specifications
• Experience in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems and diagnostics.

Required Skills and Experience:

• HS Diploma or equivalent experience
• Three years' experience in commercial refrigeration, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (journeyman)
• EPA "Universal" Certification Required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• HVAC Trade School Preferred
• DEC Pesticide License Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Will require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.), including equipment & supplies. Ability to climb ladders when working on equipment.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite at Main Campus
• Periodic travel to other facilities can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure:

• $21.65 to $31.25 per hour
