We currently seek an Electrical Engineer to work in one of our New York (Ithaca, Albany, Farmingdale) or Massachusetts (Marlborough, Boston) offices. A remote position may also be considered. Tetra Tech A/E in New York is comprised of over 80 professionals, working in a highly collaborative environment. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for a wide range of building types and clients, specializing in K-12 facilities and international projects. Our overall team of professionals provides innovative architectural design, building systems engineering, interior design, site design, civil design, and 3-D Imaging services. Our designers embrace advanced building methods and technologies that provide real-world solutions resulting in more efficient and sustainable projects.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your design expertise on exciting and challenging projects. You will have the chance to mentor and impart knowledge to junior engineers and designers. At the same time, you will be working with one of the region’s top education-related A/E design firms, gaining additional expertise and building on your career.
Responsibilities

• Under of guidance of a Senior Electrical Engineer, perform design of building electrical systems including power distribution, emergency power, fire alarm, security, communications systems.
• Develop appropriate system concepts, perform calculations, layout, sizing, selections, specifications in coordination with other disciplines
• Perform site visits of existing electrical systems for evaluation or to inspect work in progress/completed
• Review and respond to team members on project design work, RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents and issues in a professional and timely manner
• Produce Electrical Construction Documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 1-3 years of related work experience or Associate's degree with 3-5 years of related work experience 1-2 years of related work experience4
• Experience in Revit and AutoCAD, and have working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe products

Anticipated Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
