Asphalt Foreman Responsibilities:
- Organizes work to get the most productivity out of the crew by instructing employees where to go, what to do, and what equipment and/or materials will be needed
- Participates in pre-project and pre-task planning activities (reviews plans, subgrade, drainage, fine grading, compaction, paving, etc.) and then relays planning details to field crew
- Completes all related electronic paperwork via Field Services/Dynamics and Workforce Go (HCMtoGo), correctly and on time
- Checks plants and orders correct amount of materials daily for asphalt patching. Coordinates with Operations Assistant to order correct amount of materials needed for concrete patching.
- Performs all aspects of the job, including general laboring and operating equipment; makes it a priority to train others in all aspects of the job.
- Monitor equipment and inventory usage
Asphalt Foreman Requirements:
- Previous Foreman/Lead experience required
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety guidelines with one year of experience working on an asphalt and/or concrete crew
- CDL B or higher preferred
- Previous experience with asphalt work including crack sealing, sealcoating, patch work, etc.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional nights
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of local electrical codes required
- Ability to read blueprints, demonstrate strong leadership skills, etc.
