As a Director of Data Science on the data team, a typical day for you will include:

• Drive innovative solutions that influence how data insights are delivered to the client throughout Neighborly.
• Build analytics that will be consumed within applications like websites and call center tools
• Lead, grow and mentor a multicultural team of 8 experienced Data Scientists and BI Analysts.
• Oversee and drive delivery of best-in-class machine learning and other data solutions leading to enterprise-wide adoption internally and externally.
• Hands-on modeling and building quick-wins based on data manipulation in AWS.
• Evangelize and educate on best data, AI/ML and coding practices.
• Find opportunities, implement best practices, and develop solutions for evolving challenges.
• Identify process enhancements and opportunities to improve our data architecture, analytics/ML tools and practices to enable the team’s efficiency.

Bring Your Skills And Be Inspired To Achieve Success.

Experience:

• 15 years of experience working in a Data Science capacity
• 5 years of experience managing high performing teams.
• Experience solving analytical issues through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods as well as vast experience using advanced statistical methods.
• Strong background in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, processing of large data sets. Be able to mentor Data Scientists on best practices and development & productize sophisticated models.
• Experience implementing large-scale projects.
• Experience working with executive level business stakeholders.
• Experience designing and implementing AI solutions and self-service analytics using AWS tools a plus.

• Solid ability to see the whole picture and to focus on the important details in a pragmatic and result oriented way.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple work streams.
• Schedule / in-office requirements: Neighborly to fill out based on role.

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday. Hybrid working model if you are DFW based. Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home.
