We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Information Officer with exceptional leadership skills to spearhead our technology initiatives and drive innovation across the organization.

Position Highlights: The CIO is a key executive leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization's technology strategy in alignment with Tri Pointe Homes’ growth and consumer-focused business objectives. This multifaceted role encompasses strategic business advisory, visionary leadership, high-performing cross-functional team collaboration and culture building, talent management and development, business outcome focused innovation, change management, and effective management of IT infrastructure and applications including information security. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving transformative change in a dynamic and consumer-driven environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership in aligning technology strategies with the strategic growth goals of the organization. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, ensuring business-outcome focused technology initiatives that advance external and internal customer experiences.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team that is connected to the business strategy and not only collaborates and builds strong relationships across departments and business units, but also actively seeks innovative solutions and fosters a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to maximize their potential and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing functional business leaders to enhance the customer journey from home shopper to homeowner, orchestrating the solutions that the business functions will operate. Consultatively drive business process change and digital transformation, develop frictionless e-commerce platforms, and implement data-driven customer focused solutions, with an eye towards innovative technologies that elevate the overall customer experience.
  • Broaden leadership team capability as an enabler of innovation, weaving technology advancements into the fabric of Tri Pointe. Contribute to selling, building and delivering homes more effectively and enhancing team member processes and the homeowner experience. Help Tri Pointe strengthen competitive advantage through continuous improvement and enhancement of technological solutions including concepting and testing new and emerging technologies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with technology partners and stakeholders to source highly effective solutions and flexible professional services that increase the velocity of our business. Negotiate contracts and ensure that partners deliver best-in-class solutions and services that deliver on agreed business outcomes .
  • Guide the development and implementation of software applications and integrations tailored to the growth and business transformation needs of Tri Pointe. Encourage innovation in data management and advanced analytics to optimize business processes, improve decision-making, and explore simple approaches to improve the customer experience and accelerate business outcomes.
  • Oversee the implementation of robust information security programs to safeguard customer and business data. Ensure IT infrastructure reliability and availability of services crucial to the business, while also identifying innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data privacy and security.
  • Oversee IT budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives and ongoing operations with strong ROI. Identify and mitigate IT-related risks. Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Position Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role with a focus on consumer-driven industries, aligning technology initiatives with business and consumer objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop a team and build strong, collaborative cross-functional relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

  • OneStream financial planning, Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP, Salesforce CRM, Hyphen BuildPro purchasing, construction scheduling and customer care, Mulesoft integrations, Microsoft 365.
