We’re looking for a Senior Community Manager to spearhead building our studio and game communities. This role will embed with the Secret Door Studio team and will collaborate to build strategies and tactics around their first game launch, while extending leadership and support across other Dreamhaven titles. This candidate is a gifted storyteller, strategist, and creative thinker with deep experience building games communities from scratch, along with growing and supporting them through launch and beyond. They are excited to develop foundational community and content strategies that help guide the growth of our social and community channels, and find satisfaction in seeing player communities thrive. 

What we need: 

• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing gaming communities from the ground up
• Expert knowledge of communities and trends within video games and pop culture 
• Understanding of game development processes and ability to relate to the environment
• A proven track record of collaborating with development and cross-functional teams 
• Experience working on multiple games in a direct development or publisher model is a plus
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Empathy and approachability
• Experience working with influencers and content creators
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations

What you'll do:

• Set and drive the global community and player engagement strategies, developing them into actionable plans that can achieve key goals and outcomes
• Own our player-facing content and communications on our community and social channels to keep our players informed and excited about our games
• Act as the voice and advocate of the community within the studio, providing valuable insights and feedback to the development team
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve player issues and communicate resolutions to the community
• Bring innovation, insights and market analysis together with proven instincts to track metrics and use them to iterate and improve 
• Support creator and influencer programs across Dreamhaven’s titles
• Track, analyze, and report on player trends and needs, sharing insights and identifying opportunities for continual optimization and improvement

The base salary range for this position is $83,799 to $139,665 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 3 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Total compensation also includes equity, comprehensive benefits and will also include profit sharing in the future.
