Position Overview

About the job:

We are looking for a motivated Construction Manager to support Capchem US project in its construction phases. If you are a professional with excellent communication skills, strict with schedule and cost, "zero to one" mindset as well as a desire to work with a global team, we would love to hear from you!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • [Construction Planning and Review]: 1)Organize construction drawing review meetings with all subcontractors to evaluate the designs from a construction perspective, identifying any impractical or optimizable items. 2)Ensure construction documents comply with the project's specifications and quality standards.
  • [Schedule Management]: Responsible for the management of construction progress for civil and installation works. This involves creating critical paths, planning construction processes, and reviewing weekly and monthly construction reports to monitor project progress and ensure implementation according to the plan.
  • [Team and Stakeholder Management]: Manage and coordinate the project construction management team, supervisory team, main contractor, and all subcontractors. This includes fostering teamwork and collaboration among all parties involved in the construction process.
  • [Cost Control]: Monitor project costs, review changes and certifications, and assist the Project Manager in cost control to ensure the project is delivered within the budget.
  • [Construction Methodologies Review]: Oversee the review of all construction methodologies to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards. This responsibility includes approving the construction methods to be used on-site.
  • [EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Supervision]: Supervise construction site EHS, ensuring all parties comply with local environmental, health, and safety standards to maintain a safe workplace.
  • [Risk Management]: Identify potential risks or issues within the construction project and implement corrective measures when necessary to mitigate risks.
  • [Quality Assurance and Acceptance]: Lead the acceptance tasks related to civil and installation works, ensuring that all completed work meets the project standards and quality requirements.

Requirement

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in the United States legally. (US Citizenship, permanent resident or proper work visa status)
  • Associate degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in construction management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control measures.
  • Hold licenses of Electrical Contractor, HVAC Certificate and Plumber & Pipefitter License or equivalent is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors effectively, as well as conducting good communication with government and third parties.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Work experience with local construction teams or be in the construction process of chemical plant
