RequirementsQualificationsAll qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Basic Qualifications: Degree: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the health education, health management, education, sociology, community development, social work, or educational psychology. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/) at the time the degree was obtained. Selective Placement Factor: Position requires fluency in Spanish and English languages for both oral and written communication. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which must include the following experience: designing and delivering adult learning, instructional design, translation, and verification of training programs related to public health education, community organization, or social work. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
