Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to the lead teacher in a classroom setting, assisting with educational activities and ensuring the well-being of the students. This is a paid position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Assist with classroom management, including organizing materials and resources
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in their social and emotional development
- Assist with student assessments and record keeping
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress

-Reports to Lead Teacher

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting is preferred
- Experience working with children, elementary experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies are a plus
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques is beneficial
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is required

-Montessori experience (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
