Title: Electronic Technician
Location:Independence, MO

Salary: $30.88-$35.47 per hour
Schedule: 4-10s (may vary between days, nights and weekends)

Focus:The Electronic Technician is responsible for complex preventative and emergency electronic maintenance on automated high speed manufacturing equipment and related systems.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and correct various operational equipment including PLC's and motor drives with the assistance of laptops, engineering and wiring diagrams.
• Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance repair on automated high speed ammunition manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative and emergency electrical repairs on various equipment and lighting systems.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED and 2 years recent and relevant electronic experience. PLC and motor drive experience preferred. OR
  • Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school, vocational school, or military equivalent. Certifications specific to PLC training preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of motors, motor controls, precision measurement and diagnostic tools.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
• This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
