Job Description

JOB SUMMARY :

Maintain and repair equipment, facilities, and grounds; including vehicles, fabrication equipment, general production tools, equipment and electrical power used in the daily operations of the company.

FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED :

• Run air and power hand tools used in performing assigned repairs
• Keep maintenance and tool records current using CMMS software
• Understand and implement proper Preventative Maintenance Programs
• Troubleshoot and correct mechanical problems
• Troubleshoot and correct electrical problems
• Be knowledgeable of all equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Perform all maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities
• Estimate material needs for projects and repairs
• Fabricate or assemble production equipment as required
• Follow all environmental, safety, and health requirements per company policies
• Perform other related duties as required
• Properly operate and maintain boiler

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Able to communicate verbally and in writing
• Must be capable of following verbal and / or written instructions
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be capable of large amounts of walking, bending, stooping, squatting
• Capable of working from ladders, scaffolding, or in close quarters
• Must be able to work in hazardous conditions safely
• Must be able to read and comprehend various measuring devices
• Must have knowledge and experience with electrical systems
• Must have general knowledge of air and hydraulic systems
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and respond on short notice to situations that arise
• Must have a good understanding of and follow OSHA and EPA standards
