Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Capacity Planning: Evaluate production capacity and develop plans to meet current and future demand while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Workplace Design and Layout: Design efficient workplace layouts that minimize waste, reduce production lead times, and enhance ergonomic standards.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement measures that ensure product quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Work closely with supply chain management to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve supplier relationships.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to gather and analyze key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvement.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards in the manufacturing environment.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to production teams to ensure understanding and adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in industrial engineering roles within manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in process optimization methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CAD software for workplace layout design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
