**Job Summary:**

As an Elementary School Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational and spiritual journey of our students. You will develop and implement engaging music lesson plans, create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and foster a love for music and faith in our students.

**Duties:**

- Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans that adhere to the school's curriculum

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students

- Teach a variety of music concepts, including theory, history, vocal performance, and instrumental skills

- Plan and coordinate music performances for school events, including liturgical services

- Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to foster a productive learning atmosphere

- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student growth and success

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes

**Skills and Qualifications:**

- Strong background in music education and early childhood/elementary education

- Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music instruction

- Familiarity with Catholic liturgical music and traditions is a plus

- Knowledge of education administration principles

- Experience working in private or parochial school settings is advantageous

- Passion for educating and empowering young learners

- Excellent classroom management skills

- Understanding of special education practices

- Commitment to integrating Catholic values into the curriculum

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field preferred

- Teaching certification in Music Education or Elementary Education preferred

- Previous experience teaching music to elementary-aged students preferred

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Commitment to fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment

- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred but not required
