MAINTENANCE Assistant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Work with other Maintenance staff and Property Manager to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain all properties managed by Harmony House. Conduct general repairs of all properties managed by Harmony House. Work with the Huntington Housing Authority on all inspections and bring all apartments up to code. Get apartments cleaned and repaired for new tenants.

WORK KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Complete repairs in a timely manner, ensuring productivity.

· Good customer service and communication skills.

· Must be punctual and reliable.

· Knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry, janitorial/custodial and ground maintenance.

· Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

· Knowledge of all office procedures and maintenance standards.

· Experience with proper use of cleaning materials.

· Able to develop a positive relationship with residents.

· Maintain the security of the buildings and its residents.

· Abide by all personnel policies, as stated in the Harmony House Employee Handbook

· Ability to work with pest control.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School GED or Diploma preferred

2 Years of maintenance experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

2-3 Professional References Required.

Pre-Employment Drug Screen Required.

Valid driver’s license required.
