Objective

Performing pre-operation inspections to ensure proper functioning of machines. Inspecting machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

Essential

· Setting up machines to start a production cycle that includes calibration and cleaning.

· Inspecting machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

· Observing the machine’s operation and inspecting product output for quality.

· Communicating with colleagues about production processes to maximize efficiency.

· Making minor repairs to machinery, such as sharpening tools and contacting an industrial mechanic as needed for large repairs.

· Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment.

· Manage heavy equipment.

· Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to sit and talk or hear, walk, and climb stairs. Also, the employee must be able to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; Reach with hands, arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The partner must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.

The Machine Operator will frequently spend time on the manufacturing floor as well as in the office. While on the manufacturing floor, the employee must wear eye and hearing protection. Safety-toed shoes are highly recommended while being around and near manufacturing equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
