company, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk who wants to be part of a company that makes a difference in patients' lives. In this role, you will be responsible for the full cycle of billing and A/R activities to ensure prompt and accurate billing, communicating with the various departments, insurance companies, patients and referrals in relation to the patient's billing status concerning the service of durable medical equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Post medical charges into medical billing software to meet daily and monthly goals
• Claims management and evaluation of payments, denials, and appeals
• Coordinate to ensure all outstanding bills are collected
• Data entry of patient demographics and input charges accordingly
• Ability to appropriately assign modifiers
• Medical reimbursements
• Various billing and collections functions to ensure accurate and timely claim processing
• Confirm patient benefits and insurance
• Follow-up on late or missed payment notices
• General knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 and billing codes

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous Medical Billing experience (in DME preferred)
• Previous Accounts Receivable experience
• associates degree preferred
• Medical Billing Certificate a bonus
• Possess knowledge of billing software (HDMS software preferred)
• Ability to communicate and work effectively
