Responsibilities

This position leads Page's editorial vision and content strategy, positioning it as an industry thought leader through storytelling. The Editorial Manager will work collaboratively to create well-crafted stories and thought leadership content to drive business development and brand awareness.

This is accomplished by developing content that is placed as website articles, media coverage, emails and newsletters, annual reports, CEO communications, and industry presentations. The incumbent creates content in collaboration with Page subject matter experts about projects and people that elevate the firm’s regional and national visibility.

The Editorial Manager works in a firmwide capacity and ensures their storytelling efforts support Page's business goals and key messaging.

  • Reports to the Director of Communications and is part of a high-performing Marketing Communications studio
  • Primary responsibility for written communications for use across multiple communication channels, both external and internal
  • Collaborates with others to help Page’s leaders tell their stories and showcase their industry expertise
  • Serve as the creative force behind our Branded Content, ensuring it is of the highest quality, engaging, and on-brand
  • Manage a content strategy, editorial processes, deadlines, and editorial brainstorming sessions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with (specialty sector) leaders and key employees to understand business goals, priorities, processes, thought leadership, ever-evolving work output and wins
  • Manages working relationships with industry freelance writers for website articles
  • Provides copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking for a variety of Page-produced digital and print communications materials
  • Ensure communications efforts align with firmwide / regional goals and brand messaging
  • Collaborate with PR / media colleagues on opportunities to proactively place thought leadership content in media publications and identify best-fit leaders for reactive media requests
  • Collaborate with Creative Services Studio employees on multimedia materials in support of business goals
  • Identify potential story ideas for leaders and Communications team for development and distribution across relevant channels
  • Identify external opportunities to share content, such as the social media reposting of an award given by a design organization or the edited version of a media interview to be posted on other communication channels
  • Work with design leads and project managers to create compelling project descriptions for Marketing project sheets and requests for proposals (RfP) for similar work
  • Ensure consistency of Page brand voice in existing materials and edit for AP style and clarity
  • Participate in recurring business sector and MarComm meetings to stay up to date on news / activities and share opportunities identified
  • Manage special projects as they arise
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Media Relations, Journalism, Stakeholder Engagement or related field is required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Eight or more years relevant experience in real estate development, publishing, and communications consulting
  • Experience in video scriptwriting and storyboarding a plus
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
