Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse in our hospital provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient. The RN will assist the physicians and other team members as directed by the supervisor. The shift is 6pm to 6:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- 5 bed Emergency room, Hopedale is not a trauma hospital.
- Teamwork heavily focused to promote better patient experience & high quality of care
- Deliver nursing care as needed.
- Assess and document patient status.
- Carry out treatments and/or orders.
- Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures utilized in that specific nursing position.
- Record treatment, comments and notes as necessary on the appropriate patient chart, alerting other personnel to all orders, problems, and other pertinent information.
- Is flexible, adaptive and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.
- Administer medication, IV therapy and drips as ordered.
- Discharge patients to home or other appropriate place accordingly and per physician's order.
- Participate in regular in-service training and other quality assurance activities, as well as continuing education seminars and workshops.
