DC Fire & Stone is Hiring a Laborer Near Hope, PA

Laborer

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and assisting the lead Mason. We are a small historic masonry and chimney company. Trade novices are acceptable as long as you’re willing to learn. Applicants must be able to do hard physical labor (lift heavy or difficult equipment) and brave heights. We are looking for someone responsible, who takes initiative and communicates well. The company specializes in historic restoration, so attention to detail, respect of history, and willingness to get dirty are part of the job.

The crew meets either at the shop space in New Hope PA or at the job site, which varies, each day. Applicants must have their own transportation. Hours vary and two character references are required.

Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility of the laborer is assisting the lead mason.

-Other responsibilities might include mixing mortar, moving materials, helping to set up scaffolding, job site set up & break down.

-Laborer is responsible for helping to maintain the tools, job site & work vehicle organization.

-Laborer is also responsible for learning tradecraft, communicating with customers and using company software.

Qualifications:

-Prior experience working in a labor job preferred. Willingness to learn trade skills is required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling orders
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
