Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures.

Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, CPT) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any billing discrepancies
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Proficient in medical coding systems (ICD-9, CPT)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.21 - $21.93 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
