Position Overview: As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Cascade Acupuncture Center, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient’s success with their Acupuncture treatments as well as their overall well-being. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team. Responsibilities:
- Customized Treatments: Conduct thorough assessments to understand each patient’s unique needs and collaborate with our other providers to address our patients’ concerns and health goals. Tailor massage sessions to address these concerns, whether it’s stress reduction, pain management, or relaxation.
- Modalities: Utilize a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cupping.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our acupuncturists and other practitioners to provide integrated care. Share insights and collaborate on treatment plans.
- Client Education: Educate patients on self-care practices, stretching, exercises and lifestyle adjustments to enhance the benefits of massage therapy. Educate clients on the services and products offered as well as the therapeutic benefits of regular massage therapy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of each session, tracking progress and adjustments complying with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
- Environment: Maintain a clean environment to promote the body’s natural healing response.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT): Must hold a valid license to practice massage therapy in Oregon.
- Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to connect with patients and create a healing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, maternity massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cupping or willing to learn.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication, punctuality, and a respectful demeanor.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Experience: At least 1 year is preferred but not required. We can train you! Entry level encouraged to apply.
