Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader to design traffic engineering projects, including conceptual engineering studies, preliminary engineering, and final design.
- Independently or as part of a team, conduct traffic engineering studies, such as assessing the need for traffic signals, performing crash analysis, and optimizing signal timing.
- Perform traffic planning studies by analyzing roadway corridors and developing travel demand forecasts using transportation planning models.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to practical applications as an Engineer in Training (EIT).
- A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- The ability to receive and follow directions and instructions effectively.
- Excellent planning, communication, and execution skills.
- Adherence to company policies and strong collaboration with team members.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Prior relevant experience in engineering and construction is a requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering from an accredited university. Two plus years of progressive engineering experience.
