Genie Healthcare is Hiring a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Home Health Near Homewood, AL
Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
* $35 per hour
* $48 overtime rate
Types of Cases: Start of Care Wound Care Follow up Visits etc.
Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience depending on the specialty
First-timers accepted: (Y/N) No must have recent specialty experience.
Weekend REQ: Varies per location and profession please have traveler discuss during the interview.
Certs REQ: CPR BLS
Dress Code: Scrubs
Charting: All professions must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and used it within the last 6 months. If they have used it outside of the last 6 months they may apply but will be required to take a retraining course during compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patient health and update medical records
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Educate patients and families on healthcare plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care facilities
- Proficiency in family planning services
- Ability to perform venipuncture and spinal taps
- Familiarity with inpatient care settings
- Skills in acute pain management and hospital medicine
- Experience in dementia care
- Strong patient care skills
