Who We Are:
Founded in 2005, Holyoke Community Charter School (HCCS) offers a high-quality public education in grades PreK-8th. The school mission is to promote the joy of learning and to prepare children for success as students, citizens, and workers by providing them with a high-quality public education. Having recently completed a comprehensive strategic and academic plan, HCCS teachers are driven to support diverse learners through a multitude of ways to present content and assess performance. Moreover, HCCS recently completed construction of a new 22,000 sq. ft. wing, adding four new classrooms and a new 16,000 sq. ft. gymnasium. HCCS is raising the bar for what’s possible.
Positional Purpose:
The School Nurse facilitates a positive environment for the natural development of HCCS students, in a manner that contributes to their case, growth, and development. They promote health and safetyfor all students in the school. Intervene with actual and potential health concernsand provides case management services. The School Nurse actively collaborates with othersto build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. They ensure the school and SABIS® philosophy, brand, systems, policies, and proceduresare properly implemented and observed.

Typical hours are 7:45am – 3:20pm, with twice/month Wednesday staff meetings until 4:30pm. This position begins Academic Year 2024-2025 (Mid-August 2024).
