Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana is Hiring a Maintenance Worker III Near Hobart, IN
Under general supervision and according to accepted procedures and standards, performs routine and complex tasks associated with one or more maintenance trades including construction/carpentry, plumbing, electrical, maintenance, and general mechanics to provide the hospital with safe and reliable structures, systems, and equipment consistent with specifications in local, state, and federal code.May specialize in the performance of a particular task but may be required to assist in other capacities due to variations in workload and staffing.
- Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a 1 year post-secondary technical certificate or apprenticeship.
- Driver License with acceptable driving record.
- Two to three years of experience in order to:
- Acquire an adequate knowledge of one or more maintenance skills.
- Develop a basic understanding of mechanical processes, equipment repair, and the building trades.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Be able to understand equipment manuals.
- Acquire skill in the use of hand and power tools.
- Become knowledgeable of trade and regulations.
- Acquire an adequate knowledge of one or more maintenance skills.
- Acquire a thorough knowledge of departmental policy and procedures.
