Provides comprehensive hematology-oncology specialty medical care to patients who seek care at Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC). Performs all duties in a manner which reflects the mission and vision of HMC. Is a productive, collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team. Provides supervision to the HMC Infusion Clinic and HMC Anticoagulation Clinic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performed majority of the time --
Physician shall render professional services in the office designated and provided by the hospital in accordance with the Physician Employment Agreement.
Physician shall collaborate with colleagues and administrators in the establishment of procedures and methods of operation for the clinic, Physician shall remain in good standing with the medical staff, maintaining board-certification and all privileging requirements. Performs and documents clinical assessments and encounters in an ongoing, timely, accurate, concise and systematic manner. Identifies and communicates patient safety or quality of care concerns in a timely manner. Adapts care to accommodate the diverse needs of patients and any unexpected changes in patient status. Promotes accident prevention and reports potential safety hazards.
Renders all services promptly and diligently in accordance with the professional and ethical standards of the HMC medical community.
Provides inpatient consultative care for patients requiring expertise in hematology-oncology. Participates in educational conferences at HMC and OHSU, including tumor board, grand rounds. Participates in the education of learners at HMC. Participates in clinic meetings and other departmental conferences.

Required
Licensed MD or DO Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship training program in Hematology and Oncology.
Documentation of clinical activity as a physician within the scope of core privileges without significant quality of care issues

Required
Maintains Oregon licensure. Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Hematology and Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or in Hematology and Oncology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Board certification must be achieved within five years of completion of specialty training. Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process. Maintains active staff membership in good standing with the medical staff of the hospital with all privileges and responsibilities accorded such membership.
