Weastec, Inc. is Hiring a Procurement Analyst I Near Hillsboro, OH

Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Summary: Responsible for the procurement of parts from overseas and domestic suppliers by performing the following duties. This position will work closely with the Lead Procurement Coordinator or designated associate for training for a minimum of 1 year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creates a weekly flat file order for parts via internal system generated report by confirming the data is correct based on safety stock, customer requirements, and forecasts. Order with an eight-week lead time to specified oversea TEC Plant(s).
  • Generates a daily part shortage report based on inventory and scheduler work orders. Researches, communicates, and acts upon critical shortages.
  • Responsible to trace and schedule inbound shipments based on part shortages. Communicates with Receiving Team Leader to determine optimum time for shipment delivery.
  • Utilize information from freight forwarders and Ocean Carrier’s web sites to determine availability of incoming shipments to avoid a missed shipment of parts to the customer.
  • Requests air freight shipments as needed to avoid miss shipments to the customer.
  • Responsible for ordering the correct design level of parts based on information from the New Model group and the suppliers.
  • Responsible for following build out procedures for ordering, tracking, and completing the Therefore workflow as required.
  • Review and adjust safety stock levels weekly during the order process and quarterly from a system generated report.
  • Communicates daily via Email with the TEC overseas suppliers to resolve problems and keep shipments arriving on time. Opportunity to participate in international logistics and business communication.
  • Responsible for system receipt staging of Boat shipments (and air shipments as needed) by entering invoices to the RP Staging File (Receipt of Purchase Order).
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience: Associate of Science in Business Administration.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge or the ability to learn the use of PC, scanner and internal company programs required for the job.
Other Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Good communication, organization, time management, and the ability to multi task.
