This position for Always Neighbors Home Care is responsible for assisting with the general needs of the scheduling team, as it relates to filling in for shifts and helping to start new clients. Depending on the situation, this position will need to travel around Franklin County in order to fill shifts as needed. In addition, this position will serve a key role in setting client expectations for newer clients as well as training subsequent caregivers who will later be providing service to those clients. This position is carried out via direct collaboration with the Scheduling Dept., as well as other designated supervisors such as the Owner, Director-level positions, Nurses, and other caregivers.

Our pay period is Monday – Sunday, with pay day being every other Friday.

Additional responsibilities include effective and timely communication with the office, specifically any notable changes in the client’s condition, Care Plan requirements, and overall schedule.

This position requires maintaining superior customer service and enhancing the Agency's image through professional dress and courteous interactions with all staff, clients, and visitors. The attire for this position is scrubs & tennis shoes. The ability to fill open shifts and provide short-notice service is required.

Qualifications:

-This position requires an individual who has reliable transportation and current auto insurance. This position is someone who is a self-starter with excellent organizational, customer service and personal skills. Background in healthcare/STNA/senior services and/or service industry is preferred.

-Must have good recall, be articulate, detail-oriented and have good communication skills. This position requires a warm, congenial, and professional attitude. Maintaining the confidentiality of employees and clients is a key requirement of position. Also required is the ability to be flexible, handle frequent interruptions, change previously established schedules on short notice, and manage multiple priorities. Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and possess a high degree of initiative along with the ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate.

Reports to: Owner, Director(s), Team Coordinators.

General Duties and Responsibilities

· Assists with day to day scheduling needs, including taking on last-minute shifts and accepting new clients to help them get started quickly.

· Ensures accurate shift details such as clock-in’s/clock-out’s, documentation, client/employee signatures, etc.

· Follows up with caregivers to ensure satisfaction with service/Care Plan and hours of service.

· At times, provides direction and supervision to caregivers in performing their assigned tasks during employment (Do’s and Don’ts of caregiving, following the CarePlan, etc.).

· Participates as needed in the training and evaluation of employees. Participates and provides input on performance evaluations via performance, client satisfaction, etc.

· Communicates effectively (verbally, via e-mail, via text, etc.) all pertinent staffing and scheduling information with administration.

· Works above-and-beyond to ensure shifts are filled to the client’s satisfaction.

Pay and Benefits:

This is an hourly position with additional opportunity for overtime pay. The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.00, plus travel time & mileage reimbursement at the current federal rate.
