Role Summary: Performs various functions relative to the Laboratory testing, to include but not limited to: clerical and computer functions; specimen accessioning and processing, performing a variety of phlebotomy techniques and assisting with other specimen collections and performing specified waived testing as required. Represents the organization in the inpatient or outpatient setting serving as the liaison between the client (Patient, physicians, nursing, etc.) and the laboratory departments.
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care services and 80 beds in the Eckerd Living Center. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a member of Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare.
