Workplace INTEGRA is hiring for an IT Programmer to work fully on-site at the corporate office in High Point, NC. The IT Programmer collaborates closely with the on-site Technical Support/IT Manager and remote development teams to contribute to the development of Workplace INTEGRA’s proprietary software. They will be responsible for writing, testing, documenting, and maintaining code to meet the needs of our clients and/or organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions for development-adjacent issues related to internally developed ‘legacy’ PC software.
• Work with an off-site development team to understand software code and functions.
• Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with demonstrated accuracy, timely deliverables, and attention to detail.
• Occasionally collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and implement solutions focused on increased efficiency and productivity.
• Develop test scenarios in a debug environment created and maintained by the candidate with oversight from the Technical Support/IT Manager.
• Work with Technical Support/IT Manager to evaluate the impact of software bugs and determine priority issues.
• Document internal software functions and be able to learn how they work at a systems level.
• Identify potential improvements for both internal functions and end-user software.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two or four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a software development environment.
• Familiarity with “legacy” PC software and programming techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of Visual Basic required.
• Crystal Reports experience a plus!
• Basic knowledge of SQL database structures.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
