About us
SELS Solar is a growing business located in High Point. We design, manufacture, and distribute solar powered solutions for commercial and government customers. We offer several standard products that are assembled in house with a variety of custom designs fabricated as needed in our manufacturing facility.
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations.
**Duties:**
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Use hand and power tools to assemble parts and components according to specifications
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Use and operate electrical assembly and testing equipment according to specifications
- Use metal fabrication and welding equipment: GTAW, GMAW
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and product performance and quality
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with operating manufacturing equipment and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Forklift experience and willingness to learn
- Welding and metal fabrication experience
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
